About me

Hi there,

I’m Kathryn. Sheffield-born, Perth, Western Australia-dweller, lover of squirrels, donkeys, the bonkers New Zealand Tūī bird call, and romanticizer of dive bars with neon beer signs.

I gained my International Coaching Federation (ICF) accreditation with Animas, one of the world's leaders in transformative coach training.

Known for an unwavering knack for quitting unhappy jobs, I tested the media waters before making a change over to Coaching and Mental Health Nursing, a happier fit for what I  value most:

kindness, integrity and humour.

“It has been a pleasure to be coached by Kathryn. She is a great listener with a very open-minded outlook on the concerns I brought forward. She takes time to assess the situation in its entirety, and has really helped me to view challenges in a more positive light, implementing traits such as acceptance and contentment whilst maintaining my ambition for future goals”

“Kathryn is a very supportive coach. Her natural ability to care and to listen makes her a wonderful and reliable facilitator during times of indecision and personal troubles”

- Ana, Client

About Coaching

What is it?

In simple terms (and with the least amount of whimsy intended..) a coach’s intention is to provide meaningful time for their client to be heard, guided through organising their thoughts, and to move forward with clarity and confidence following each session together.

You may seek out a coach for all kinds of reasons, for example:

  • Identifying what fulfilment is to you

  • Feeling 'stuck', with a specific goal in mind

  • Unhelpful behaviours ie. procrastination, or negative self-talk

  • Managing anxiety

What to Expect

The nature of the subject you bring will be individual to you, and approached respectfully as such.

At the beginning of the session, you’ll have the opportunity to talk through what’s on your mind and decide what you’d like to focus on.

Taking a transformative approach, I invite you to explore your beliefs, values and assumptions within guided reflective conversation to establish what's actually important, and question the origin of inhibiting negative thought and behavioural patterns. I also take into account the nuances of your verbal and body language to assist me in how to best support you.

Sessions are at a pace which suits you. The environment is confidential, relaxed, open, collaborative and kind. Swearing is allowed.. free expression is welcome here!
